As the oldest of three brothers, Preston has cultivated a “can do” attitude. Raised in Central Florida, Preston spent 8 years in the Army as a field artilleryman. Once back into civilian life he attended the Microsoft Software and Systems Academy for server and cloud administration, which propelled him into the IT field. “I love that IT is forever changing. IT is changing the world daily and I want to a part of that,” says Preston.
Preston lives a lifelong learning mindset. In fact, along with working full-time at Amnet, he is currently enrolled at Pikes Peak Community College in their Cyber Security program. As the newest addition to the service desk team, he appreciates that Amnet is devoted not only to its clients but to its employees as well. He feels that Amnet is more like a close nit-family than a “job”.
Preston is a movie aficionado, citing Shutter Island, Django, and anything Batman as his favorites. His downtime, small screen selections include The Mandalorian, Family Guy, and The Witcher. He enjoys Lo-fi chill music, jazz, hip hop, international and “anything that sounds good.” His most read book is The Present by Spencer Johnson. When offered a choice, Preston chooses Italian food. His ideal vacation spots include “anywhere with a beach.” When not solving IT problems for clients, Preston unwinds by working out, spending time with pets, and working on cars. One day he hopes to have the opportunity to repair a classic car.
