The Amnet team has always strived to contribute to the local community in any way we can, and no one member of our staff has done more to help better our community than Trevor Dierdorff, our owner and operator. Always excited to give back to his community, Trevor has cultivated many organizations close to his heart. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, Silver Key, and Marian House Soup Kitchen are just a few of the non-profits that Trevor enjoys working with.
Where hands-on contributions are concerned, Trevor’s accomplishments include leading a project for Marian House that focused on building a computer lab for the homeless. The effort boasted $6,000 in donated computers through the Colorado Springs Rotary Club, another $6,000 in setup services from Amnet employees, and a generous software donation from Microsoft.
This lab of seven computers was completed in late 2016 and is located at Marian House. The Colorado College youth branch of Rotary International, Rotaract, contributed student volunteers to work as tutors and tutor trainers. With their guidance, community members hoping to use this great facility can take full advantage of the technology now available to them. Basic skills such as using Microsoft Office programs or navigating a successful web search can be hugely beneficial, especially for individuals hoping to find employment.
Trevor has also volunteered with Junior Achievement for over twelve years. He works weekly with incarcerated youth at the Zeb Pike Youth Services Center, a jail for juvenile offenders in Colorado Springs. Helping at-risk youth build the skills needed to be productive adults is rewarding beyond words and something Trevor enjoys immensely.
This dedication to improving the community is a core part of Amnet and something the entire team is proud of. With Trevor leading the charge, Amnet’s staff will continue working hard to enrich as many lives as possible through technology and compassion.
